Both end users and professionals reacted positively on the possibilities that SMS Seating Advice offers. During the exhibition, 34 people recieved a SMS Seating Advice. With 26 people, it was found that their present seating and back support isn't adequate. With 6 people, it was critical, and only 2 people had an adequate aid.

The following summary of the article was on the Twentsche Courant Tubantia website (in Dutch) on Friday, December 14th, 2007:
WINTERSWIJK - Willie ten Holder (60) from Winterswijk can sit upright again for the first time in 21 years.
Until recently he had to move about lying on his front on an electric stretcher. Thanks to an invention by some progressive entrepreneurs and specialists from the rehabilitation centre, Het Roessingh in Enschede, NL, he is now using a normal wheelchair again.
Ten Holder was a roofer by trade and, after a work related accident, he eventually ended up in a wheelchair in 1986 with a high leg amputation. Pressure sores eventually made it impossible for him to sit. Under the direction of rehabilitation specialists, metric equipment has now been developed with which a special seat cushion can be produced to exact personal measurements for every patient with pressures sores: a cushion that supports the body without irritating the skin.
According to Louis Huttenhuis, an entrepreneur from PR Sella in Oldenzaal in the Netherlands, this metric equipment is the first of its kind in the world. He plans to start introducing it to ergotherapists and physiotherapists in the eastern region of the Netherlands next year.
- An extensive report on this subject can be found in the healthcare special Tplus Leven & Laten leven that will be included as a supplement with your paper today.
